10 Laws of Computer Security
# Law #1: If a bad guy can persuade you to run his program on your computer, it's not your computer anymore.
# Law #2: If a bad guy can alter the operating system on your computer, it's not your computer anymore.
# Law #3: If a bad guy has unrestricted physical access to your computer, it's not your computer anymore.
# Law #4: If you allow a bad guy to upload programs to your Web site, it's not your Web site any more.
# Law #5: Weak passwords trump strong security.
# Law #6: A computer is only as secure as the administrator is trustworthy.
# Law #7: Encrypted data is only as secure as the decryption key.
# Law #8: An out of date virus scanner is only marginally better than no virus scanner at all.
# Law #9: Absolute anonymity isn't practical, in real life or on the Web.
# Law #10: Technology is not a panacea.
I have seen these laws around for years now, at least since the early 90's. But somehow this week they have been attributed a lot to Microsoft since they appear to be on their web site. While they are great rules to follow and I have taught them as part of computer classes that I have taught, trust me, Microsoft did not come up with them.

They made the problem of spyware a problem with IE. Though not all of it is from IE, enough is. To be fair, MS should make it FREE, but after Beta is done it will probally cost.
BTW I have used it on a machine and liked it. We will see.

While I will refrain from discussing the merits of Spoungebob and his homesexuality, I think Dr. Dobson has gone off the deep end to say that Spungebob himself is evil. They would have to tar and feather the whole bunch of charachters mentioned. Anyone who watches the show (and with kids I watch it), would know that homesexual agenda is not part of the show.
On the other hand, I found these two quotes from the people resposnible for the video mentioned telling:
OK, so we are talking about respect, but the people against them are mental retards. I guess resspect means if you agree with me it is respect, if you disagree it means you need to be sedated and taken out of society. Does anyone besides me see the weirdness of this?

While I agree with his sentiments that people are out to get illegal files, I disagree that he should be doing what he is doing and should get sued by someone for doing it.
If nothing else, Jesus said, 'Let him who is wothout sin cast the first stone." I wonder if Mr. Morgenstern is without sin.
